· Tell us a little about you.
One of my favorite words is JOY, and I try to live my life with that in mind. I am so fortunate to have an amazing family, (I have the most adorable granddaughter, who lights up our life), incredible friends and the opportunity to work with ridiculously talented professionals. Currently, I am planning our daughter's wedding, and so, once again, I am the Mother of the Bride, and loving every minute of it!
· What’s your go to Starbucks order?
A vanilla bean scone, please.....and then a quick trip to McDonalds for a large diet coke with extra ice. Forgive me, coffee just isn't my thing!
· What’s your favorite part about being a wedding planner?
If I had to choose my favorite part of this job, it would be the relationships I get to create with the couples I work with. Getting to know my clients in the midst of planning something so personal and significant – learning about who they are as individuals and then finding ways to reflect that in their wedding design – it is very rewarding.
· What’s your favorite place to travel?
Anywhere there is a beach. Give me the sun, sand, a good book and my family any day....and maybe some sangria wouldn't hurt!
· What’s your favorite part of a wedding day?
This is a hard one, I have many. For me, the sweetest and most emotional moment of the day is the Bride and Groom's first look. It is a private, intimate few minutes, before the wedding party and family joins them, that is just for the two of them. It is a quiet, very special moment, usually, followed by a few happy tears.
· What’s your favorite place to have dinner out in Indianapolis?
My new favorite restaurant is Vida. Their menu offers an array of incredible tasty options. I love their wall of greens and their wine pairings.
· What’s your best advice to couples on their wedding day?
This is your day, so breathe, eat, enjoy, soak everything in and nothing important will happen without the two of you.
· What’s your favorite memory from your own wedding?
Oh, another hard question, I loved our wedding day. One of the most special moments was when Mike & I were exchanging our vows. It was as if there wasn't anyone else in the church, holding hands, repeating the vows, it felt so right. And it must have been, we have been married for 28 years!
We love reliving Diem + Tyler's beautiful wedding day with this video from MK Wedding Story! Matt captured their day beautifully! We loved helping them coordinate all the details to ensure their day was flawless from start to finish! In the video you'll hear parts of a letter Tyler's dad wrote to him before he passed away so have your tissues ready! It was a touching sentiment on a beautiful day! We were honored to help Kate + Jimmy with their Canal 337 wedding in downtown Indianapolis on July 29, 2017. Kate + Jimmy live in California so we did all the planning leading up to the big day from a couple thousand miles apart. This is a common occurrence for us so it was no big deal and we were happy to be along for their journey. We helped them through a few logistical sticking points and made sure the day was perfect! We had such a wonderful time helping Mary + Matt plan their D'Amore wedding in Indianapolis this past July! Mary + Matt truly planned this wedding together the entire way. They wanted a sophisticated and elegant day that their guests would remember. There was a subtle theme of the Royal Wedding which we had so much fun incorporating. From the flower girl dresses, wedding cake, signature cocktail, and Mary's dress! It was a beautiful day! They are both busy professionals so we were able to help make the most of their time as we planned their wedding. It was a smooth process and we definitely accounted for every detail. I was so fortunate to help plan Soha's wedding in 2017 as well as her brother's earlier in the year. Her family halfway adopted me throughout the process. They were so incredibly kind and generous with me and I feel incredibly blessed to have shared in their two children's journey! This wedding was the first time I ever asked to be included in a family picture that's how connected I feel to them all. Soha and Daniyal lived out of town so her family and I did a great deal of the planning while they were both busy with work. We had the pleasure of planning this reception at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. Their staff makes planning an incredibly elaborate event for 500 people a breeze! We loved helping Soha + Daniyal plan their wedding long distance. They both lived out of town which always presents a few challenges but it's something we're very familiar with so we can help to ease the process. Soha's family was very involved in planning things as they're local so we had a multitude of meetings with them and then with the bride and groom whenever they were in town. Soha is a doctor like many of our clients so her busy schedule makes it hard for her to get away from work. This is a way that we can help our clients out immensely by making the most of their time and doing much of the leg work for them. It turned out to be a beautiful vibrant day that you can see below. Soha's family really wanted to transform 502 E Event Center so we implored lots of elaborate lighting to alter the space. The smart lights allowed us to change the lighting throughout the night based on what was happening as well which made for a lot of fun during all the performances! It was a beautiful evening celebrating Pakistani traditions in the best way!

We loved helping Laura + Ben plan their beautiful day at the Ritz Charles in their Garden Pavilion! The couple lives just a bit outside of Indianapolis so we would make the most of their visits to the city to check lots of items off our wedding planning to do list. Each visit was a joy! Laura's mom was very involved in planning even though she lives in California. We would conference call her in to each of our meetings so we could have her insight and keep her in the loop! Laura and Ben had a love for one another that is very uncommon. I loved watching them show each other great kindness and grace! They were a joy to be around every step of the way! We're so thrilled to see this very sweet couple's wedding video! We loved helping them plan their beautiful wedding at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, IN. Laura's mom lives in California and Laura lives outside of Indianapolis so we did all our meetings with mom on conference calls so we could keep her in the loop. It turned out beautifully from the florals to their chair sashes! See all the dreamy details below including 1,000 paper cranes! We loved incorporating this beautiful Japanese tradition into their wedding ceremony and reception! The couple folded all 1,000 of these by hand (Laura says Ben folded at least 750 of them)! I had the best time helping Alyssa + Tyler plan their wedding while they lived in California! We made special trips to Lake Wawasee to do some planning while they were home too. Alyssa truly wanted to transform the space which I believe we did! She wanted to pull in rustic, nautical, and elegant touches. We did just that in using stunning florals with family vases to incorporate rustic and nautical touches. We then ensured that those themes carried throughout every detail of the day down to the invitations and menus with touches of greenery. As you can see below the day turned out to be stunning!! We loved working with the Oakwood Hotel which hosted the day and the fantastic team of vendors that helped bring Alyssa's vision to life! Check it all out below :)

We loved helping Alyssa + Tyler plan their Lake Wawasee wedding at the Oakwood Resort & Hotel! Alyssa has the most exquisite taste and her mom is incredibly sweet! Needless to say wedding planning with them was a dream! Alyssa and Tyler lived in California and Chicago as we planned the wedding which is one of the many reasons they wanted to have a planner. We made the most of their trips home to knock out planning their wedding which wasn't in Indianapolis either. Lake Wawasee is where Alyssa + Tyler's families spend their summers so it made the perfect meaningful backdrop for their wedding day! It's also where they met! After their rehearsal they took a cruise on this fabulous boat for a fun cocktail hour with their guests before their rehearsal dinner.
